참꽃나무(진달래과)

각시족도리를 담고 늦은 점심 때문에 허기가 져서 급히 숲을 빠져 나오는데 붉은 꽃이 또 발걸음 잡는다.

내일 도 볼 값이라도 우선 보이니 담아야 하지 않은감?

 

동행한 제주 아짐 꽃님이 늦으면 금새우난초 못 본다고 빨리 가자 재촉이다.

요것만 담고 가자고 부리나케 담는데...ㅎㅎ..뒤 이어지는 또 다른 녀석 몇 종과 눈 맞춤 하지 않을 수 없제이요?

꽃만 들따 보고 있으믄 배가 고파도 고픈 줄 모르니...

 

둘째 날 1100고지에서 헤매다가 뒤늦게 합류하기로 한 꽃동무님과 약속 장소로 가는 도중 붉은 참꽃나무 꽃이 싱싱하여 급히 차를 세웠다.

제주도는 산록도로변에 차를 세우지 못하게 한다. 국립공원 지역이라서 주차를 하면 벌금을 불어야 하는 걸로 알고 있다.

참꽃나무 꽃이 마악 피기 시작하는 때라 이 녀석도 만났을 때 담지 않으면 또 만날 수 있다는 보장이 없으니 할 수 없다.

 

 

 

한라산에서 자라며, 키는 3~6m이고 어린가지에 갈색 털이 있다.

넓은 난형(卵形)의 잎은 어긋나는데 가지끝에서 2~3개가 돌려난다. 잎의 끝은 둔하고 가장자리는 밋밋하다.

잎은 양면에 갈색털이 있으나 사라지고, 표면에 윤채(潤彩)와 부드러운 털이 있으며 잎자루에는 갈색털과 억센 털이 있다.
