만병초(진달래과)

잔 가지에 긁히면서 숲을 헤치고 올라서도 꽃이 높다.

눈측백나무 가지를 하나 주워서 아랫쪼 가지를 잡아 당기니 가끼이 담을 수 있었다. ㅎ.

 

 

꽃송이에 작은 벌레들이 겁도 없이 달라붙어서 도망도 안 가고 털어도 떨어지지를 않는다.

이상타 하여 건드려 보니 에고~~! 끈적거리는 점액에 잡혀서 꼼짝을 못하고 더듬이만 흔들면서 녀석이 울쌍이다.

진달래과 꽃에는 점액이 분비되는데 이 녀석 꽃받침의 점액질이 강력한가 보다. 

만병초 꽃의 포로가 된 벌레 녀석들이 어쩔 줄 모르고 있다.

 

 가지끝에서는 5-7개가 총생하는데 표면은 진한 녹색이고 광택이 있으며 주름이 진 것 같고

뒷면에는 회갈색 또는 연한 갈색털이 밀생하며 가장자리에 톱니가 없고 뒤로 말린다

 

 

 

 

높이가 4m에 달하고 어린 가지에 회색털이 밀생하지만 곧 없어지며 갈색으로 변한다.
