꼬리진달래가 드뎌 꽃술을 터뜨렸네요. 꽃의 모습과 잎 차례가 진달래를 닮았나 봅니다.
다른 이름으로 참꽃나무겨우사리, 겨우사리참꽃, 겨우사리참꽃나무 등의 이름을 가지고 있슴다.

꽃은 6-7월에 피며 총상화서에 20개씩 모여 달리고, 포는 넓은 난형이며 홍갈색이 돌고
소화경은 길이 6-8mm로 백색 선점이 있으며, 화관은 깔때기 모양으로 지름 1cm정도이고 백색이며
수술은 10개로서 암술대보다 길고 털이 없으며 암술대는 길이 3mm정도로서
꽃잎보다 길거나 같고 잔털이 있으며 자방에 선점이 있다.
잎은 호생하지만 가지 윗부분에서는 3-4개씩 모여 달리고
타원형, 도란상 타원형 또는 도피침형이며
길이 2-3.5cm로서 톱니가 없으며 표면은 녹색이고 백색점이 있으며
뒷면은 처음에 흰빛이 돌지만 갈색 인편이 밀생하고 엽병은 길이 1-5mm로서 짧은 털과 인편이 있다.
