Ching 2023. 1. 14. 제주. 우리 나라 전라남도, 경상남도, 경상북도 울릉도, 제주도 등에 나며, 중국, 인도차이나, 타이완, 필리핀, 일본 등에 분포한다. 우리 나라에 분포하는 일엽초 종류 중에서 포자낭군이 가장 커서 쉽게 구별할 수 있다.
