좀참꽃(진달래과 진달래속)

개화 시기가 아직 이른 시기지만 몇 송이 꽃이 멀리서 온 방문객을 반겨준다.

2011년 백두산 출입이 자유로웠을 때 8월  초순에 한창 꽃을 피우고 있었더랬는데

올해는 백두산 식물의 개화가 많이 늦다고 한다.

 

2000 고지 이상의 고산에서 자라서 난쟁이가 된 이 녀석은 짧은 가지 끝에서 화려한 꽃을 피우는 모습이 귀엽지만

완전하게 채우지 않고 빈 자리를 만들고 있는 꽃의 모습이 참 친근하게 느껴진다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2011년 8월 6일 천문봉 주변에서 담았던 열매이다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

줄기는 옆으로 눕고 원줄기에서 뿌리가 나며 높이 10cm 쯤이다. 잎은 가지 끝에 모여나며 잎자루는 짧거나 없다.
