개비자나무(개비자나무과 개비자나무속) 어린 열매 Cephalotaxus harringtonia (Knight ex Forbes) K. Koch

가까운 사찰 숲에서 만난 개비자나무 십 수 개체가 마음 설레게 한다

올해 꽃과 열매를 제대로 담을 수가 있기에 봄이 기대 된다.

 

어린 열매에는 열매자루 끝에 여러개의 배주가 뭉쳐 있는 것 같은데

작년에 불완전 결실을 한 열매를 보면 이 암구화수 뭉치에서 하나의 배주가 결실을 하는 것 같다.

 

 

꽃은 이가화로서 4월에 피고 암구화수는 녹색으로 새 가지 끝에 달리며

길이 5mm로 2송이씩 한군데에 달리고 10여 개의 뾰족한 녹색 포로 싸여 있다.

가지 끝의 동아가 터지면서 암구화수가 나오려면 아직 시간이 필요한 듯 하다

 

 

 

중앙의 엽맥이 두드러지며 뒷면에 2줄로 된 기공선이 있다. 엽병이 없고 2열로 배열되며

비자나무에 비하여 부드러우며 잎끝이 예리하나 만져도 찌르지 않는다.

 

 

 

 

 

배주는 한 꽃에 8-10개씩 있고

 

 

 

 

 

길이 1cm도 안되는 열매가 말라 붙어 있어서 이상타 했다.

도감의 내용에 의하면 육질의 종의로 싸인 열매는 둥글며 길이 1.5-2.5cm라 한다

 

아래 녀석은 어린 나무에 달린 열매라 완전하게 성숙하지 못한 것 같다

열매는 다음해 8-9월에 적갈색으로 익고 열매에는 짧은 자루가 달려 있다.

 

 

암구화수의 여러 개 배주 중에서 한 개가 성숙을 하는 것 같다.
