소나무무과 녀석들은 새순이 길게 자라서 그 끝에 암구화수가, 아래 부분에는 수구화수가 꽃을 피운다.
노랗게 꽃가루를 날리는 수구화수가 달리기 시작해도 새순이 길게 자라지 않으면 암구화수를 볼 수가 없다.
지난 해는 수구화수가 노스름하게 색을 내기 시작하는 시기에 찾았으니 아직 암구화수가 발달하지 않아서 보지 못하고 왔는데
올해는 개화가 더 빨라서 몇 사람이 함께 찾은 끝에 드뎌 섬잣나무 암구화수도 찾을 수 있었다.

지난 해 달린 열매가 올해 자라나고 있다.
다 익어서 떨어진 잣 솔방울
상식적으로 소나무과의 수피는 거칠 것이란 예상과 달리 이렇게 매끈하고 평활하다.
