회솔나무(주목과 주목속) 암꽃 Taxus cuspidata var. latifolia (Pilg.) Nakai

첨에는 이 녀석 동글동글한 수꽃을 보고 주목을 많이 심어 놓았네? 라 생각을 했다.

헌데 회솔나무란 이름표를 달고 있는 걸 보고 아차 했다.

 

여태 회솔나무를 소나무과로 잘못 생각하고 있어서 당연히 소나무 처럼 꽃을 피울거라 생각을 했었는데

꽃의 모습을 봐서는 주목과 인 것을.

 

잎이 주목나무와 유사하고 붉은 과육 속에 종자가 하나씩 들어 있는 모습도 비슷한 녀석인데

종자가 과육 밖으로 많이 나출되어 있는 점이 다르다고 한다.

그래서 이 녀석을 그냥 주목으로 보는 견해도 있는 모양이다.

 

그러면 이 녀석도 암수딴그루인데 암그루를 찾아야 했다.

결국 한 쪽에서 전년지 가지를 뒤진 끝에 암꽃도 찾았다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

수피를 제거한 줄기가 붉은 건 주목과 거의 흡사하다.
