함박이(새모래덩굴과 함박이속) 열매 Stephania japonica (Thunb.) Miers

함박이는 제주에서만 볼 수 있는 방기과 식물로 가을에 붉게 익는 열매가 댕댕이덩굴 열매주저리 만큼 풍성하다.

 

방기과 형제들 중에서 정작 방기를 만나지 못하였는데 남부 지역에 가면 볼 수 있다고 하니

그 녀석 때문에라도 남쪽으로 발걸음 한 번 해야 할 것 같다.

 

 

흠~! 이 자알 생긴 통통한 열매를 먹을 수 있다믄 좋겠는디...

욘석은 암꽃과 수꽃이 단성화인 암수한그루라고 기재되어 있지만 내가 관찰컨데 분명 암수딴그루였다.

물론 방기과인 새모래덩굴도 암수딴그루로 관찰이 되었고.

 

 

 

 

 

 

둥그런 잎은 가장자리가 밋밋하고 잎자루가 엽신 가운데 달려 있어서 마치 방패 같다.
