함박이(새모래덩굴과 함박이속) Stephania japonica (Thunb.) Miers

제주의 들판 현무암 밭둑에 동그란 잎을 가진 함박이 덩굴이 참이쁘다.

함박이는 새모래덩굴처럼 잎자루가 잎 가운데 붙어 있다.

 

댕댕이덩굴과 비슷하지만 댕댕이덩굴은 줄기와 잎에 잔털이 있고

함박이는 전초에 털이 없다. 댕댕이덩굴, 함박이 새모래덩굴 비교 자료는 차차 정리해야겠다.

 

 

 

잎은 호생하며 방패모양의 넓은 난형이고 둔두이며 원저 또는 절저이고 길이 6-15cm 폭 5-10cm로서

가장자리가 밋밋하며 뒷면은 흰빛이 돈다. 엽병은 길이 3-12㎝이다. 

 

줄기에 털이 없고 매끈하다

 

꽃은 단성화(일가화)로서 6-7월에 피고 연녹색이며 복산형화서는 액생하고 많은 꽃이 달리며

수꽃은 꽃받침이 6-8장 꽃잎은 3-4장 수술은 6개이고 꽃밥이 옆으로 터진다.

암꽃은 꽃받침열편과 꽃잎이 각각 3-4개이며 1개의 자방에 여러 개로 갈라진 암술대가 있다. 

아직 시기가 일러서 봉오리 상태다. 쩝.

 

꽃봉오리는 많은데...꽃이 안폈다.

열매는 핵과로서 둥글며 지름 6mm정도이고 평활하며 10-11월에 주홍색으로 익는다.

 

 

 

함박이는 잎 가운데 잎자루가 붙었다. 잎뒷면이 약간 희다.
