방기(새모래덩굴과 방기속) 암꽃 Sinomenium acutum (Thunb.) Rehder & E.H.Wilson

2015. 7. 초순. 제주.

 

드뎌 암꽃이 핀 걸 마주하게 되었다.

매년 개화 시기를 맞추어서 내려 가 보지 못한 탓에 열매만 담곤 했었다.

6월 중순에도 봉오리만 보고 올라가면서 꽃이 필 때 내려와야 할텐데....했었는데

섬까치수염과 묵밭소리쟁이 덕분에 겸사겸사 내려오게 된 덕에 이 녀석 개화 시기를 용케도 맞출 수 있게 되었다.

 

목포 인근 지역에서도 방기를 만나긴 하지만 그도 수꽃이 몇 송이 핀 것만 담았을 뿐 암꽃은 보지도 못하였는데

이른 아침 찬홈 태풍이 지나면서 뿌려대는 비를 헤치고 찾았더니 이 지역은 아직  비가 마악 시작하려는 중이라

혹시나 하고 찾길 참 잘했다면서 거센 바람에 흔들리는 녀석을 담는데 성공하였다.
