펠리온나무(쐐기풀과 펠리온나무속) Pellionia scabra Benth.= Pellionia pellucida (Raf.) Merr.

산골짝 습한 계곡부에사는 녀석으로  높이 20-40c까지 자라는 다육성 아관목이다.

밑부분은 목질이지만 윗부분은 연하고 

전체가 검은 청록색이고 껄껄한 감이 돌며 줄기에 복모 또는 입모가 있다.

 

잎은 원줄기 윗부분에서 어긋나기하고 엽병이 없으며 길이 4-8cm로서

한쪽으로 찌그러진 피침형 또는 긴 타원형이고 상반부에 몇 개의 톱니가 있으며

첨두 예저로서 표면이 껄껄하고 뒷면에 짧은 털이 있으며 흰빛을 띤다.

 

사람 없는 깊은 계곡을 탐사하다가 기어 올라 왔더니 

숲에서 빠져 나오는 나를 본 주민이 거기 위험한데 왜 들어갔냐고 걱정을 해 준다.

 

영국의 큐식물원에서는 이 녀석의 학명 Pellionia scabra이  Pellionia pellucida (Raf.) Merr.의 이명으로 처리가 되어 있다.

중국 중남부, 중국 남동부, 하이난 일본 난세이 쇼토, 대만 베트남에 자생하는 아열대군계의 식물이다.
