왕모람(뽕나무과 무화과나무속) 화낭 Ficus pumila L.

보고싶어하던 왕모람 열매를 드뎌 제대로 알현한 줄 알았다.

3년 전에 경남의 식물원 온실에서 수화낭을 본 적이 있는데  이번에 본 녀석은 암화낭 열매일 거라 기대를 하였다.

따 가지고 온 화낭을 해부해 보니 이 녀석도 수화낭이다. 에이 쩝!!

 

어쩐지 열매가 많이도 달렸다 싶었더니....수꽃 화낭이었던 것이다.

암화낭은 아직 열매가 이렇게 크지 않을지도 모른다.

다음에 내려 가면 다른 곳의 화낭을 확인해 봐야겠다.

 

국내에서는 왕모람이 제주도 몇 곳에 심겨져 있다.

아열대 식물인 이 녀석은 동남아시아 쪽에서는 자생이긴 한데

국내에서는 제주와 남부지역 돌담이나 집 주변에 심아놓은 것이 자연스럽게 자라고 있다.

 

엽형은 애기모람과 유사하지만 묵은 가지 잎의 크기는 모람보다 더 넓다.
동남아지역에서는 왕모람을 과일이나 요리 재료, 차 등으로 식용을 하며 재배를 한다고 한다

 

여태 애기모람 Ficus thunbergii Maxim. 이 왕모람 Ficus pumila 로 잘못 알려져 있는데, 

얼마 전에야 학명과 국명이 정리가 되었다.

애기모람 Ficus thunbergii Maxim.	난형, 타원형, 잎맥이 들어감. 엽맥1-5쌍	길이 1-5㎝, 너비 1-2㎝인	어린잎은 2~3개의 파상의 거치가 있다.	길이 5~10mm 적갈색 털이 있다	자루가 길고, 구형, 지름 2cm

수화낭이 자색으로 익어가고 있다. 이 속에 좀벌이 산란해 놓은 충영이 자라고 있을 것이
