큰물통이(쐐기풀과 물통이속)

큰물통이 자료가 아직 없었는데 이번 서해안 탐사에서 큰물통이라 녀석을 만났다.

아직 모시물통이와 큰물통이에 대한 구분이 모호해 하고 있엇는데 이번 참에 두 녀석에 대하여 확실하게 파악을 해 본다

 

먼저 <잎과 꽃받침>이다

모시물통이는 큰물통이랑 비슷하긴 하지만 잎이 더 크고 3개로 갈라진 꽃받침이 선형이어서 종자가 드러나 보인다.

큰물통이는 잎이 더 작고 3개의 꽃받침 중에 2개가 크고 넓어서 씨앗을 덮어 버린다.

 

<화서의 모양을 살펴 보면>

모시물통이 화서는 꼬리모양, 큰물통이 화서는 원반 모양이다.

물론 수꽃 모양에서도 다른데 큰물통이의 수꽃은 솔처럼 생겼다. .

 

<종자의 크기에 있어서는>

큰물통이가 모시물통이보다 종자는 크지만 잎과 화서는 더 작다고 한다.

 

이 녀석의 씨앗과 잎의 크기를 관찰하지 못하여서 개운하지는 않지만

화서가 크고 느슨하며 꼬리처럼 늘어진 모시물통이에 비하여

꽃받침이 열매를 덮고 있고 화서가 원반형이고 작아서 별 무리 없이 큰물통이로 정리할 수 있다.

 

큰물통이 : 화서가 작고 조밀하며 원반형	모시물통이 : 화서가 크고 느슨하며 꼬리형
큰물통이는 3개의 꽃받침 중에 2개가 크고 넓어서 씨앗을 덮어 버린다	모시물통이는 3개로 갈라진 꽃받침이 선형이어서 종자가 드러나 보인다.
