물통이(쐐기풀과)

산사 습한 축대에 귀여운 물통이가 자그마하게 자리 잡고 있었다.

제주도 산방사 계단에서 만나고 처음이다. 의외로 이 녀석은 만나기 쉽지 않은 녀석이다.

꽃을 볼까 했더니 급하게 담느라고 살피지 못하였다. 아마 피지 않은 것 같았다

 

다소 총생하고 원줄기는 연녹색이며 높이 5-10cm이고 반쯤 투명하고 부드럽고 털이 없다.

 

 

 

잎은 대생하며 원형 또는 넓은 난형이고 길이와 나비가 각각 6-10mm로서 양끝이 둔하거나 둥글며

가장자리에 희미한 파상의 톱니가 있고 3맥이 있으며 뒷면에 갈색 선점(腺點)이 있다.

엽병은 잎과 길이가 같거나 길다.

 

잎 겨드랑이에 화서가 있는 듯 한데 열매가 맺은 것 같다.

꽃은 암수한그루로 7-8월에 피며 녹색이고 엽액에 뭉쳐서 달리며 암꽃이 수꽃보다 많고 섞여 있다.

수꽃은 화피가 4개로 갈라지며 4개의 수술이 있고 암꽃은 화피가 3개로 갈라지며 그 중 1개는 크다.
