미기록종 -고깔물통이 Pilea pauciflora C. J. Chen.

강원도 계곡 음습한데서 만난 녀석이 다른 곳의 강계큰물통이로 보이는 것과 달라보였는데

미기록종으로 밝혀졌다.  

 

P. pauciflora는 중국 간쑤성과 쓰촨성의 해발 2,000m 이상의 습한 지역에만 분포한다고 알려진 희귀식물로서 암꽃 화피편 3장 중 1장은 고깔 모양으로 길게 신장되어 수과의 한쪽 면을 감싸면서 뾰족하게 솟아 있으며, 1쌍의 측화피편은 다른 1장에 비해 극히 짧은 특징으로 근연종들과 뚜렷하게 구별된다. 

 

 국명은 암꽃 화피편이 수과를 감싼 형태가 고깔모자를 쓴 모습과 유사하여 “고깔물통이”로 신칭하였다.
