모시물통이(쐐기풀과)

토요일 가까운 산에서 반나절 숲을 헤매었다.

쐐기풀과 물통이 몇 종, 보자고 하던 세뿔투구꽃까지 꽤 쏠쏠하게 자료를 담았다.

 

이 녀석은 큰물통이랑 비슷하긴 하지만 잎이 더 크고 3개로 갈라진 꽃받침이 선형이어서 종자가 드러나 보인다.

큰물통이는 잎이 더 작고  3개의 꽃받침 중에 2개가 크고 넓어서 씨앗을 덮어 버린다.

물론 수꽃 모양에서도 다른데 큰물통이의 수꽃은 솔처럼 생겼다.  모시물통이 화서는 꼬리모양, 큰물통이 화서는 원반 모양이다.

 

꽃은 일가화로서 7-8월에 피며 엽액에 암수꽃이 모여서 길이 1-3cm의 밀산화서(密傘花序)를 형성한다.

수꽃은 꽃잎과 수술이 각각 2개이다.(물통이는 각각 4개이다.) 암꽃은 꽃받침이 깊게 3개로 갈라지며

꽃받침잎은 길이가 다르고 긴 것은 선상 피침형이며 끝이 둔하고  중륵이 뚜렷하며 암술 1개와 헛수술이 3개 있고

화피는 숙존하여 꽃이 핀 다음 자라서 열매를 감싼다. 암술머리는 솔처럼 되고 암꽃에 3개의 헛수술이 있다

 

 모시물통이는 꼬리모양의 화서이다.

 

 

 

 

잎은 대생하며 난형이고 끝이 짧은 꼬리처럼 뾰족하며 밑부분은 넓은 예저이고

밑에서 3맥이 발달하며 길이 1.5-10cm, 나비 1-7cm로서 가장자리에 삼각상의 규칙적인 톱니가 있다.

엽병은 길이 1-3cm이고 기부의 턱잎은 뚜렷하지 않다.

 

수과는 납작한 난형이고 길이 1-1.2mm로서 매끈하며 약간 도드라진 갈색 반점이 있다
