펠리온나무(쐐기풀과 펠리온나무속) Pellionia scabra Benth.

이 녀석은 한라산 남부 하천 깊은 계곡 음습한 곳에 자라는 녀석이다.
고사리가 많다는 계곡 처음 가보는 곳을 탐사하였다. 지도를 열어놓고 하천 주변의 도로를 살펴 본 후 하천으로 접근하기 쉬운 곳을 찾아서 들어서니 혼자서 들어 오기에는 좀 으스스한 곳이다.
계곡의 중간 지점이라 폭이 꽤 넓었고 물이 말라 있어서 탐사하기엔 아주 적당하였다. 역시 음습한 그늘 지역에는 고사리가 많았는데 펠리온나무도 군락을 이루고 있었다.
지금 시기에는 꽃을 피우기 시작할 것인데 꽃이 핀 것인지 봉오리인지 확인이 어렵다. 
 

잎 겨드랑이에 화서가 많이 커져 있었다.

가지는 부드러운 다육성이라 쉽게 부러질 것 같은데 아래부분은 그래도 약간 목질화 된 듯,
