큰물통이/모시물통이(쐐기풀과 물통이속)

모시물통이라 생각했던 가까운 산 숲에 있던 녀석을 제대로 살펴보니 큰 물통이였다.

큰물통이와 모시물통이는 비슷하여서 구분하기 좀 까다롭다

종자를 보면 큰물통이 종자가 더 크지만 종자를 들여다 볼 수 있을 정도로 큰 것도 아니니

우선 화서의 형태로 구분이 가능하다.

 

큰물통이 : 화서가 조밀한 원반형으로 3개의 꽃받침 중 2개가 열매를 거의 싸고 있다

모시물통이 : 화서가 느슨한 꼬리형으로 선형의 꽃받침사이 종자가 잘 드러나 보인다

 

큰물통이 : 화서가 작고 조밀하며 원반형	모시물통이 : 화서가 크고 느슨하며 꼬리형
큰물통이는 3개의 꽃받침 중에 2개가 크고 넓어서 씨앗을 덮어 버린다	모시물통이는 3개로 갈라진 꽃받침이 선형이어서 종자가 드러나 보인다.
