2011년 윗세오름에서 보고는 오랜만에 만나 본다.
지난 2월에 한라산 북사면 사찰 숲에서도 적당한 위치의 녀석을 찾아 두긴 했지만
이 곳은 꽃동무의 도움으로 알게 된 곳인데 아주 접근이 쉬운 곳이다
돌돌 말린 꽃잎이 로마시대 법관들 가발을 연상시키는데
수형이 산앵도나무 비슷하고 잎새 모양도 산앵도나무랑 많이 닮았다.
가을에 열매를 담으러 다시 들러야 하겠다.
