정금나무(진달래과 산앵도나무속)

탐라연수원 앞 숲을 헤메다가 찾던 노루발풀 꽃은 안보이고

고개를 들어 하늘을 보다가 만난 녀석이다. 주변을 둘러보니 온통 정금나무 밭이었다

 

숲이 우거져서 볕을 받지 못해서 그런지 자색이 연하고 푸른 기운이 강하였다.

비가 후두둑 내리고 바람까지 불어서 허겁지겁 담기는 했지만 영~~! 신통치 않다.

 

 

 

 

 

꽃은 새가지 끝에 총상으로 달려 처지며 선모와 잔털이 있고 포는 피침형 또는 좁은 난형이며 예첨두이고

길이 4-7mm로서 열매가 달릴 때까지 일부분이 남아 있으며 소화경은 길이 1-3mm이다.

 

꽃받침잎은 삼각형이고 화관은 종모양으로 길이 4-5mm이며 붉은 빛이 도는 연한 황갈색이고 털이 없으며 끝이 5갈래로 갈라진다.

수술은 10개이고 수술대에 털이 있으며 자방은 10실이다.

 

 

 

 

잎은 호생하며 타원형, 긴타원형 또는 난형으로 첨두, 넓은 예저이고 길이 3-8cm, 폭 2-4cm이며 톱니 끝이 선모상으로 된다.

어린 잎은 붉은빛이 돌며 양면 맥 위에 털이 있고 표면 맥 위에 털이 있거나 없으며

엽병은 길이 1-2.5cm로서 짧은 털이 있다. 가을철에 잎이 적색으로 변한다.
