앞서 가던 꽃동무가 둥산로 관목 사이에 웅크리고 있다.
카메라를 따라 시선을 옮기니 아고고~! 산매자나무 꽃이 귀엽게도 피어 있다.
도르르 말린 꽃잎이 박쥐나무 꽃과 흡사하다. 이 녀석은 낙엽활엽 소관목으로 제주에서 자생한다.
작은 가지는 녹색으로 능선이 있으며 때로 잔털이 있고 묵은 가지는 회흑색이다.
이 녀석은 1100 습지에서 담은 녀석이다. 자생 상태로 보존된 녀석이라하지만
관리하는 습지라 자연스러운 맛이 떨어진다. ㅎㅎ...배부른 투정인감? 괜히 시비 걸어보는 겨.
꽃은 7월에 홍백색으로 피고 새 가지의 잎짬에 1개씩 달리며 밑으로 드리우고 화경은 길이 1~1.5cm이며 소포는 1~2개로 선형이다.
꽃받침은 4개로 갈라지고 화관은 4열하며 열편은 뒤로 말리고 수술은 8개로 대에 털이 있다.
