월귤 열매를 산 아래 저지대 습지 숲에서 담은 녀석만 생각했었는데
노호배에서 담은 자료를 뒤지다가 보니 월귤 열매도 담았던 걸 모르고 있었다.
고산 등허리에 납작 업드린 나무에 달린 열매라서 아마 들쭉나무 열매라 생각했던 것 같다.
월귤이란 이름을 가진 녀석으로 애기월귤과 넌출월귤이 더 있는데
<월귤>은 산앵도나무속으로 20~30cm까지 크고 고산의 정상부에 서식을 하며 잎은 길이 1~3cm, 가장자리가 밋밋하며,
꽃은 가지 끝 부분 잎겨드랑이에 2~3송이씩 꽃을 피우고
넌출월귤속의 <애기월귤>은 북부 고원 습지에 서식을 하는 녀석으로 잎의 길이가 3~6mm 정도로 작고
물결모양의 톱니와 가장자리가 뒤로 말린다고 한다. 꽃은 가지 끝에 1~2개 달리며 가지는 거의 선태층에 묻힌다고 한다
<넌출월귤>은 습지에서 자라며 철사처럼 가느다란 줄기가 약간 분지하며 20cm까지 길게 자라 물이끼 속으로 벋는다.
잎은 장다원형으로 표면에 윤채가 나고 소화경은 길이 2~3cm로 화경에 털이 있다.
비를 맞으면서 카메라를 들이대었으니 사진 상태가 그리 좋지 않지만 그래도 자료로 정리를 해두어야 할 것 같다.
