정금나무(진달래과 산앵도나무속)

서쪽 두루미천남성을 보고 더 이상 탐사하기에는 시간이 늦어서 돌아오는 길

오전에 사려니숲 길을 지날 때 등수국과 바위수국이 활짝 핀 걸 담지 못했기에 마침 돌아오는 길에 담으려고 근처를 들렀다.

이번 제주행에서 정금나무 꽃을 봐야 한다고 내가 노래를 불렀더니만

가까운 곳에 정금나무가 일찍 꽃을 피우는 곳이 있다면서 한참을 더 달려 차를 세워준다. 고마운 꽃동무.  

붉은 기운보다 푸른색 기운이 많았지만 올해 처음 담는 정금나무꽃이라 반갑기만 하다.

 

제주 아짐 두사람도 이리도 귀여운 꽃이 있냐면서 처음 본단다.

하기사 풀꽃이 지천인 제주에서 이리 작은 나무꽃에 눈길 돌릴 틈이아 있었겠나.
