동쪽을 헤매다가 꽃동무와 통화 중에 녹나무과 꽃을 보고 싶다고 했더니 이곳에 가 보란다.
두루미의 비상 군무가 아직 신통치 않다기에 포기하고 차를 돌렸다.
작은 연못을 품고 있는 이곳도 전설이 있는 곳으로 올레꾼들이 거쳐 가는 곳이라 관광객들이 더러 보인다
늦은 시각이지만 한 바퀴 정원을 돌아보니 작은 연못에 물가 식물들이 재미있게 모여 있다.
병풀 꽃을 담으려서 고 작은 녀석과 씨름을 하고, 선피막이 꽃술을 담는다고 한참 끙끙거리며 업드려 있었다.
귀한 난초 종류도 구미가 당기긴 하지만 나는 왜 그런 작은 풀들이 더 재미있는지 모르겠다.
곳곳에 생달나무가 한창 꽃을 피우고 있는데 가까이 가니 비릿한 밤나무 꽃 향 같은 냄새가 난다.
완도에서 봉오리만 보고 아쉬워하던 거 속 후련하게 풀었다.
화서는 산방상으로 녹나무의 원추화서와 다르다.
이 녀석은 수피가 밋밋하고 잎이 좁으며 3출맥이 뚜렷하다.
