새덕이(녹나무과) 열매

봄에 이 녀석 꽃을 처음 봤었는데 열매도 처음이다.

숲으로 들어가는 진입로 주변에 나무 열매가 없나하고 두리번 거리는데 제법 큰 초록의 열매가 보인다.

잎을 봐서는 녹나무과인데 도감을 확인해 봐야 할 것 같아서 담기만 하였다.

 

둘째날 곶자왈에 들렀다가 지난 봄에 꽃을 담은 새덕이 나무를 다시 보니 바로 어제 담았던 열매를 달고 있다.

ㅎ...어제 이름 몰라서 헤메었던 새덕이 나무였던 거다.

 

 

  

 

 

 

 

내년을 준비하고 있는 꽃봉오리다. 꽃자루가 거의 없고 잎겨드랑이에 바짝 붙어 있다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

꽃은 암수딴그루이고 화경이 없는 산형화서를 이루며 붉은 색으로 3-4월에 개화한다.

화피는 4개로 갈라지고 수꽃은 18개의 수술이 6개씩 3줄로 배열되며 암꽃은 긴 암술대가 있는 1개의 암술이 있다. 봄에 담은 꽃이다.

 

 

 

 

  

 

 

  열매가 자라면서 과경이 조금 길어진 것 같다.

 

 

  

열매는 타원형으로 흑자색이며 길이 1.2cm정도이고 10-11월에 성숙한다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

잎은 호생하나 가지 끝에서는 총생하며 혁질이고 긴 타원형이며 거치가 없고 첨두이며 길이 5-12cm, 너비 2-4cm이다.

표면은 녹색이며 윤채가 있고 뒷면은 흰빛이 돌며 뚜렷한 3출맥이 있고 털이 없다.

새로 난 잎은 밑으로 처지며 견모가 있으나 성엽이 되면 옆으로 퍼지고 털이 없어진다. 엽병은 길이 8-15㎜이다.
