식나무(층층나무과) 열매

식나무를 보기 위하여 동쪽에 있는 오름 분화구 까지 걸었다.

아직 자생의 식나무를 만나지 못하여 징징거렸더니 식나무가 군생하는 곳을 알려준다.

3시 40분 경 오름 아래 도착을 하여 30 여분 바쁜 걸음으로 오르니 우와~~~!!!

땅콩 크기 만한 붉은 열매를 달고 있는 식나무 군락에 벌어진 입 다물지 못하고 신이 났다.

 

식나무는 경기 이남의 해안가 및 도서지방에서 자라며 거문도와 대청도는 식나무의 북한계선으로 가장 널리 자생한단다.

 

꽃봉오리가 터지기 시작하는 걸 보면 4월 초순이면 꽃이 흐드러질 것 같다.

꽃을 보러 또 내려 와야 할 거 같은디....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

   

 

 

 

 

잎은 대생하고 타원상 난형 또는 타원상 피침형이며 예두 또는 점첨두이고 넓은 예저이며 길이 5-20cm, 나비 2-10cm로서

양면에 털이 없고 표면은 윤채가 있으며 가장자리에 치아상의 톱니가 있고 엽병은 길이 2-5㎝로서 표면에 얕은 홈이 있다.
