정금나무 열매

1100 습지 안에도 정금나무가 많기는 하다.

제주 첫 날 늦은 시각에 그 곳을 지나면서 혹시나 열매를 담을까 해서 들어가 봤더니

이미 열매가 한 두개 달려 있을 뿐 단풍이 붉게 들거나 잎이 거의 떨어지고 있었다.

벌써 구름이 덮히는 날씨에 바람까지 불어대니 카메라를 들이대다가 그냥 포기하고 내려 왔었다.

 

사람들이 잘 찾지 않는 곳에 정금나무가 숲을 이루고 있는 곳을 알고 있다.

둘째 날 그 곳을 지나게 되어 잠시 숲에 들렀다.

역시나~! 내 예상대로 검게 익은 정금나무 열매가 주렁주렁 매달려 있다.

 

 

 

 

 

숲 깊은 오후 시간의 숲은 빛이 약하여서 검은 열매를 담기에 여간 어렵지 않다.

가지를 햇살이 있는 곳으로 이리 저리 잡아 당겨서 담아 보지만 흔들려버리고 겨우 몇 장만 건졌다.

 

 

노란콩 만한 열매를 훑어서 두 웅큼이나 입에 털어 넣었다. 달착한 맛이 꽤 먹을만 하다.

블루베리에 버금가는 토종 블루베리라 하니 오늘 먹은 열매 덕분에 내 수명 몇 년 더 연장 되었겠지? ㅎㅎ
