보리밥나무(보리수나무과) 열매 Elaeagnus macrophylla Thunb.

완도에서 담아 온 보리밥나무가 방추형 열매로 봐서 큰보리장나무로 봐야 한다는 꽃동무의 지적이 있어서

제주에 내려 간 이유 중 하나가 바로 큰보리장나무와 보리밥나무의 확인 때문이었다.

<큰보리장나무>
과실은 장과로 방추형이며 다음 해 5~6월에 붉게 익는다.
보리밥나무와 보리장나무의 중간 종으로 보리장나무에 비하여 잎뒤는 은백색 갈색 점이 있고
가지는 적갈색이다.

<보리밥나무>
과실은 장과로 원주상 타원형으로 인편이 산재하며 다음 해 4~5월에 붉게 익는다.
본종은 보리장나무에 비해 잎은 넓은 난원형으로 뒷면은 은백색이고 화통은 짧고 폭이 넓어서
4능이 있는 종형이며 열편은 꽃과 거의 같은 길이이다.

보리밥나무의 열매는 원기둥형이고, 큰보리장나무의 열매는 방추형이라고 하는데

이 녀석의 열매가 완벽한 원주형(원기둥)이 아니지만 원기둥형으로 봐도 될 거 같고

어린 가지가 은백색이거나 갈색 점이 더러 있는 점, 잎 뒷면이 갈색 인모가 안 보이는 은백색인 점으로 봐서

보리밥나무로 정리해도 문제가 없을 것 같다

 

 

 

열매는 거의 원주형에 가깝고 열매는 백색인모로 덮여 있다.

 

 

잎은 호생하고 원형 또는 넓은 난형으로 길이는 5~10cm이다.

표면은 흰색 인모가 있으나 곧 없어져서 짙은 녹색으로 되고 뒷면은 은백색이다. 

 

 

 

 

잎 뒷면은 백색 인모로 덮혀 있고 엽병은 긴 편이었다.

 

 

엽병은 10~25mm오 갈색 또는 은백색 인모가 있으며, 어린 줄기도 흰색 인모에 갈색이 드물게 섞여 있다.
