보리장나무(보리수나무과 보리수나무속) 열매 Elaeagnus glabra Thunb.

지난 1월 하천변을 탐사하면서 제주에서 보리장나무를 처음 만났었는데

제비꽃 때문에 헤메던 동부 지역의 숲에도 보리장나무가 제법 많이 보인다.

 

여태껏 제주도에서는 보리장나무를 보지 못하였다고 하던 말을 이젠 취소해야겠다.

 

 

백색 인모로 덮여 있는 보리밥나무에 비하여 보리장나무의 열매는 적갈색 인모가 있다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

난상 장타원형의 잎 표면은 광택이 있으며 뒷면에는 적갈색 인모가 밀생하는데

묵인 잎이라 그런가? 아니면 봄철이라 그런가? 잎 뒷면의 적갈색 인모가 그리 많이 보이지는 않는다.
