보리장나무(보리수나무과 보리수나무속) 열매 Elaeagnus glabra Thunb.

보리수나무 식구네 중 남부지역에 서식하는 상록수로 잎이 동백나무 처럼 두텁고 넓은 난형에 표면에 광택이 있다

잎 뒷면과 엽병 화경에 불그스름한 인모가 덮여 있어서 잎 뒷면이 황금색으로 번들거린다

 

보리밥나무는 흔하게 만나는데 이 녀석을 어디서 만날 수 있을까 궁금해 하다가 이태 전 초겨울 여기서 찾고서 얼마나 반가워했던지.

 

올 봄에는 경남의 큰섬 숲을 헤매다가 주변 나무를 뒤 덮고 있던 고목에 입을 다물지 못했는데

그렇게 엉성하게 달리던 왜소한 꽃차례가 이렇게 풍성하게 붉은 열매를 달고 있다니 참 신기한 일이다.

 

지난 해에는 6월 중순에 왔었을 때 잎만 무성하더니 올해는 다행하게도 열매를 만나게 되었다

그래서 같은 장소에 시기를 달리해서 여러 번 가 볼 필요가 있는 것이다

컴에 접근이 여의치 못해서 우선 모바일로 더듬거리며 글만 먼저 올려 놓고 사진은 오후에서야 정리가 가능할 것 같다

담아 온 자료가 자꾸 쌓여서 언제 정리해야 할지 에고야~~!!

 

사진을 담고 열매를  따 먹었더니 달콤함으로 피로가 달래지는 것 같다

헌데 열매는 크지만 씨앗이 대부분 차지하고 있어서 입이 수다스럽기만 하다.
