녹보리똥나무(보리수나무과 보리수나무속) Elaeagnus × maritima Koidz.

개천에서 만난 이 녀석은 보리밥나무도 보리장나무도 아니다

잎 표면에 인모가 전혀 없이 녹색을 띠고 있었으며 잎 뒷면의 갈색 인모도 거의 보이지 않는 녀석이라...

결국 한 번도 제대로 만나 보지 못했던 녹보리똥나무가 이 녀석이 아닐까 한다

 

이우철 도감에 의하면 녹보리똥나무는 보리장나무와 보리밥나무의 잡종으로

잎 가장자리에 물결성 굴곡이 있고 표면이 녹색이고 뒷면은 갈색 인편이 있다고 한다.

이 녀석을 본 한천변에 보리장나무가 있으니 교잡종인 녹보리똥나무가 자랄 수 있는 조건은 충분히 된다.

헌데 같은 곳에서 만난 이 녀석은 오래 된 잎은 역시 인모가 없이 녹색 기운이 많기는 한데 같은 녹보리똥나무일까?

아니면 큰보리장나무로 봐야 할까?  큰보리장나무는 보리밥나무와 통영볼레나무의 잡종으로 왕볼레나무란 이명을 가지고 있다.

제주도에 통영볼레나무가 존재하지 않는 것으로 볼 때 결국 큰보리장나무도 존재할 수 없을 거라 유추가 된다.

그러니 이 녀석도 엽형이 다양한 녹보리똥나무로 봐야겠다.

 

 

 

이 두번 째 녀석은 잎 뒷면에 갈색 인모가 좀 섞여 있다

 

 

어린 가지 몇 군데에는 잎 표면에 이렇게 인모가 있기도 하다.
