이 녀석은 감탕나무와 호랑가시나무의 자연 교잡에 의해서 태어난 녀석이라 한다.
잎을 보면 약한 결각이 보이기도 하고 감탕나무처럼 밋밋한 잎도 보인다.
열매는 마치 감탕나무와 더 비슷하여서 결각이 별로 없는 잎과 열매를 보면 얼핏 그냥 감탕나무라고 할 수 도 있다.
이 녀석은 본관 건물 앞 양쪽에 상징적으로 심겨져 있어서 완도호랑가시나무라 판단을 했는데
울타리처럼 조경되어 있는 잎의 결각이 잘 나 있는 이 녀석을 호랑가시로 봐야 할지 완도호랑가시로 봐야할 지...애매하다.
이건 완도호랑이가 분명 한 것 같고....
