미국낙상홍(감탕나무과 감탕나무속) 열매 Ilex verticillata (L.) A.Gray

생태숲에 잘못 조식된 녀석이다 .낙상홍이라고 심은 것이 미국낙상홍이었으니,

헌데 국생종에 목록에는 미국낙상홍이 없고 낙상홍만 있다. 낙상홍도 일본 원산으로 조경용으로 식재를 한다고 되어 있다.  

제주의 자생식물원에 어울리지 않은 불청객이 들어와 앉은 셈이다. 그래도 열매는 곱다.

꽃잎은 4-5장 엷은 자주색(흰색에 가깝기도)	꽃잎은 5~8장이며 흰색
긴 타원형 또는 난상 타원형으로 길이 4-8cm, 넓이 3-4cm이며 잎 끝은 뾰족하고 가장자리에 예리한 톱니가 있으며 잎의 양면에 짧은 털이 있다	낙상홍에 비해 더 크고 장타원형에 가까움. 잎 끝은 뾰족하고 가장자리에 예리한 톱니가 있으며 잎의 양면에 짧은 털이 있다
5mm의 작은 구슬모양 붉은색	낙상홍의 1.5배 정도

  

 

 

 

 

낙상홍은 연한 분홍색을 띠는데 미국낙상홍 꽃은 흰색이다

미국낙상홍 암꽃이다.
