낙상홍 암꽃 수꽃(감탕나무과 감탕나무속) Ilex serrata Thunb.

학교 정원에 작은 꽃이 피는 나무가 있다.  아무도 이름을 모른단다.

열매가 달리냐니까? 달렸는지 안 달렸는지도 잘 모르겠단다. 이그~!

비슷하지만 잎 모양새가 다른 두 그루인데 작년에 그 나무 이름을 찾아 주었다.

 

낙상홍과 미국낙상홍. 낙상홍은 암그루이고, 미국낙상홍은 수그루이었다.

그 낙상홍이 올해도 어김 없이 연보라색 꽃을 피웠다.

 

<낙상홍과 미국낙상홍 비교 > 꽃 :   둘다 암수딴그루,  꽃의 색깔은 낙상홍이 엷은 자주색(흰색에 가깝기도) 미국낙상홍은  흰색   꽃잎 : 낙상홍은  4-5개. 미국낙상홍은 5-8개  잎 :   낙상홍은 난형에 가깝고 미국낙상홍은 낙상홍에 비해 잎이 더 크고 장타원형에 가까움.         엽연은 낙상홍은 소예거치 내지 침상거치라 할 수 있고 미국낙상홍은 파상에 가까움 열매 :  미국낙상홍의 열매가  더 크다(1.5배 정도)

 

감탕나무과로 붉은 열매가 예뻐서 조경수로 인기가 높다. 이 녀석은

낙상홍 암꽃이다

.

 

 

 

 어린가지에 피목이 있고 잎의 앞뒷면,  햇가지, 잎자루, 잎맥에 털이 많다.

 

 

 

 

 

잎은 어긋나고 긴 타원형 또는 난상 타원형으로 길이 4-8cm, 넓이 3-4cm이며 잎 끝은 뾰족하고 가장자리에 예리한 톱니가 있다.

 

 

 잎 뒷면 맥 위로 털이 있다.

낙동간 고수부지에서 낙상홍 수꽃을 만났다.

야생화 단지에 있던 낙상홍 열매가 생각이 나서 분명 여러 그루 중에 수꽃이 있을 것 같더니..역시나다.

수피는 회갈색으로 가로로 줄무늬가 있다.
