참느릅나무(느릅나무과 느릅나무속) Ulmus parvifolia Jacq.

참느릅나무 자잘한 잎도 노랗게 단풍이 들기 시작한다.

이 녀석을 느릅나무로 이름을 붙여 두어서 그려려니 했더니만

느릅나무는꽃은 4~5월에 피고  6월에 열매가 익는다. 잎도 더 크고 수피는 세로로 갈라진다.

 

9월에 꽃이 핀 걸 보고 계절에 맞지 않게 웬 꽃인가 했더니만 느릅나무가 아니고 참느릅나무였던 걸....

그러니까 꽃은 정상적으로 8월에 핀 거고 일찍 핀 녀석은 열매가 성장하고 있었던 거다.  

열매는 시과이며 타원형이고 길이 8~11mm로서 털이 없으며 10월에 익고 담갈색이며 종자는 날개 중앙에 있다.

 

 

잎은 호생하며 두꺼우며 도란상 타원형, 긴 타원형 또는 도란상 피침형이고 첨두 또는 둔두이며 예저이고 좌우가 같지 않으며

단거치가 있고 길이 3~5cm로서 양면에 털이 없으며 표면은 윤채가 있고 측맥은 10~20쌍이다.

엽병은 길이 7㎜이하로서 털이 나 있다. 같은 가지에서 윗쪽의 잎일수록 크다.. 

 

 

꽃은 잡성으로 8월에 피며 황갈색이고 수술은 4~5개이며 꽃밥은 자황색이다.
