난대림연구소 연구림 조성지에 심겨진 녀석이다.
국내에는 자생하지 않는 녀석인데........
 
감탕나무과인 줄 알았더니 대마도에서 봤던 일본, 중국 및 동남아시아가 원산지인 운향과
스키미아 야포니카 Skimmia japonica 였다.
 
잔가지가 많이 발생하고 줄기가 옆으로 퍼지는 듯 자라며 열매가 고와서 조경수로 많이 식재한다.
