두메닥나무(팥꽃나무과) 열매

2010. 6. 20. 강원도.

 

4월 중순에 하얀 조각품 같은 꽃을 담고 열매를 보고자 관목 숲을 헤쳤다.

우거진 철쭉과 홍괴불나무 관목 아래 햇살 한줌 들기 어렵지만 이렇게 초록의 열매는 여물고 있다.

가을 붉게 익은 열매를 담으려 다시 한 번 와야겠다.

 

 

장과는 구형 또는 타원형으로 가을에 붉게 익는다.

 

 

 

 표면은 청록색이고 뒷면은 약간 분백색이 돌며 가장자리는 밋밋하고 엽병은 길이 5-7mm이다.

 

 

 

 

총상화서는 전년지 끝의 엽액에 발달하고 2~5개의 꽃이 달린다.

꽃은 암수딴그루로서 봄에 황색으로 피는데 암꽃이 다소 작으며,

꽃받침은 황색이고 난형 또는 피침형으로서 첨두이며 꽃받침통은 녹색이다. 수술은 8개이다

 

 

 

 

줄기가 고무나무처럼 매우 부드럽고 어린가지에 주름이 많다.
