두메닥나무(팥꽃나무과)

올해 이 녀석 못 보는 줄 알았다.

헌데 뜻 밖의 장소에서 꽃을 가득 달고 있는 이 녀석을 만났으니

욱신거리는 발목이 무슨 대수이겠남?

 

이태 전 4월 중순 이 녀석 꽃을 찾아서 아직 얼음이 비치는 평창의 저 먼 골짜기를 헤메던 기억이 새롭다

이제는 고생을 덜하고 꽃과 열매를 담을 수 있으니 땡 잡은 거다.

 

팥꽃나무과 녀석으로 두메닥나무, 백서향은 봤는데 정작 팥꽃나무는 아직 만나지 못하였다.

붉은 구슬처럼 생긴 두메닥나무 열매는 해마다 그럭저럭 만나는데 백서향 열매는 올해 꼭 보리라 마음 먹고 있었지만

기브스를 풀어도 제주의 숲을 쏘댕기기에는 아직 무리일 것 같아서 올해는 포기 해야 할 거 같다.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

이 녀석의 나뭇가지는 뼈 없는 사람처럼 아주 두드럽게 휘어지고 촉감도 딱딱하지 않고 지우개를 만지는 느낌이다
