시닥나무/청시닥나무(단풍나무과) 수꽃

일요일. 특별하게 계획된 출사는 없지만 강원도 쪽으로 자연스럽게 차를 운행한다.

봉화 높은 고개에는 딱히 눈에 띄는 건 없지만  털댕강나무와 노랑갈퀴를 담고,

꼬리까치밥나무 열매가 주렁하는 새 개체를 찜해 두고 나니 2시가 넘었다.

 

만항재로 갈까 말까 하다가 먼길 다시 오기 어려운데 1시간을 더 이동하여 만항재에 도착하였다.

지난 5월 중순에 와서 본 시닥나무를 확인하니 수그루라 꽃이 다 떨어지고 잎만 무성하다.

어딘가 시닥나무 암꽃과 수꽃을 반대로 올려 두어서 혼란스럽게 하더니 이제 수꽃을 확신하게 되었다.

 

헌데 시닥나무 수꽃이 있으면 분명 암꽃이 있을 텐데 주변을 아무리 둘러 봐도 암꽃은 보이지 않는다.

매발톱나무 꽃을 보려고 함백산으로 오르는 길을 살피는데 하~! 시닥나무다~! 암꽃이다!

자료를 수정한다. 인제 시닥나무와 청시닥나무 암꽃 수꽃을 제대로 알았다.

도감에 오류 때문에 제대로 보지 못했던 거다

 

이 녀석은 시닥나무 수꽃이다. 꽃잎이 5장으로 위를 향한 총상화서다.

암꽃은 꽃 모양이 같으면서 가운데 2갈래로 갈라진 암술대가 있다.

           

 

  

 

 

 

햇가지가 붉고 잎자루도 많이 붉다. 시닥나무의 잎자루는 앞뒤 모두 붉다.

 

 

와우~! 완전히 꽃 무게에 가지가 척척 늘어져 있다. 수고가 10m 가까이 됨직하다. 정말 오늘 만항재까지 오길 잘 했다.

 

 

 

 

 

욘석은 5월 16일 담은

청시닥나무 수꽃이다. 꽃잎이 4장이고 아래를 향하여 달린다. 역시 암꽃도 같은 모양인데 2갈래의 암술머리가 있단다. 

 

  

 

 같은 나무의 15일 후의 모습이다. 꽃이 다 떨어졌고 쭈그러든 화서가 매달려 있었다.

 

 

 

잎 뒷면에 잔털이 산생한다.

시닥나무는 잎자루 앞뒷면 모두 붉은색이고

청시닥나무는 잎자루 앞은 붉은색, 뒷면은 녹색으로 잎자루 앞뒷면의 색이 다르다.

이 녀석은 청시닥나무 잎  뒷면이다.

 

 

어린 가지에도 잔털이 있다.
