산겨릅나무(단풍나무과) Acer tegmentosum Maxim.

잎이 얕게 3~5갈래진 어린 유목은 더러 본 적은 있는데 산겨릅나무 꽃은 한 번도 본 적이 없다.

산에 올 때 마다 산겨릅나무 꽃을 봐야 한다고 읊어대었다.

 

드뎌 설악산에서 꽤 큰 녀석을 만나긴 했는데 꽃이 아니라 열매를 달고 있다.

하기사 지금 시기에 꽃을 기대하는 건 무리겠지. 내년에는 꽃을 볼 기회가 있을거라 희망을 가져본다

 

 

총상화서는 가지 끝에서 밑으로 처지며 길이 8cm로서 연약하고 꽃은 황색이며 일가화 또는 이가화로서 5월에 핀다

 

 

 

 

시과는 길이 3cm 정도로서 길이 3-8mm의 소과경이 있으며 둔각 또는 수평으로 벌어지고 9월에 익는다.

 

 

 

 

 

잎은 대생하고 넓은 난형이며 점첨두이고 심장저 또는 아심장저이며 3-5개로 얕게 갈라지고 기부에서 5맥이 갈라지며

길이 7~16cm로서 길이와 나비가 거의 비슷하고 양면에 털이 없으며 가장자리에 복거치가 있고 엽병은 길이 3-8cm이다.

 

 

녹색 수피에 백색줄이 세로로 나 있다. 수피는 섬유가 발달해 있으므로 새끼 대신 사용한다.
