황벽나무(운향과 황벽나무속) Phellodendron amurense Rupr.

2013. 5. 중순. 강원도.

 

쉬나무나 머귀나무와 같은 우상복엽으로 수피에 코르크가 발달한 녀석이다.

암수딴그루인데 작년 6월 초순 이 녀석은 열매조차 달고 있지 않았던 걸로 미루어 수그루일 것이다.

 

수피의 내피가 황색을 띠고 있어서 황벽나무란 이름을 얻었다고 한다.
