잎니 타원형, 난형인 내륙형 이 녀석을 섬분꽃나무라 하고
잎이 광난형, 원형으로 섬지역에 분포하는 녀석을 분꽃나무로 분류하기도 한다.
내륙형이 도서형에 비하여 꽃의 통부가 더 길고 잎이 타원형이다.
그런데 국명이 뒤바뀌어 있다. 섬에사는 녀석을 섬분꽃나무라 불러야 맞는 것 아닌가?
