푸른가막살(산분꽃나무과 산분꽃나무속) Viburnum japonicum (Thunb.) Spreng.

작년과 똑 같은 날짜에 들어 가서 이 녀석 꽃이 거의 다 져버렸을 거라 걱정했는데

올해의 개화가 3~4일 정도 늦은 덕분에 싱싱하게 피어 있는 녀석들과 조우하게 되었다.

 

작년에 탐사하지 않은 등산로를 탐사하다 보니 임도 남사면과 북사면, 숲 속 등, 많은 개체를 만났다.

가지가 가늘어서 옆의 큰 나무에 의지하기도 하며 키는 5~6m 정도로 큰 녀석도 있었다.

상록수라서 가죽질의 잎 표면은 광택이 있으며 양면에 털이 없고 잎 뒷면에 미세한 샘점이 빽빽하게 보였다.

 

 정상에 가까운 숲길에 아주 풍성한 녀석을 만났다.

마을에서 멀지 않은 산 아래 임도변에는 벌써 꽃이 다 졌다.

아마도 사흘 전에 들어 간 팀이 이 녀석을 보고 꽃이 끝물이란 소식을 전했을 것 같다

 

잎은 마주나며, 길이 5~20cm의 마름모꼴 난형 내지 마름모꼴 도란형으로 

잎끝은 둔하거나 짧게 뾰족하고 밑은 넓은 쐐기형이다. 잎 가장자리는 얕고 무딘 톱니가 있다
