6월 초순, 산가막살나무는 이 곳에서만 유일하게 만났기 때문에 꽃을 제대로 담아야겠다 싶어서
지난 해 기억을 짚으면서 꽃이 필 무렵 이 녀석을 찾아서 한참 뒤졌지만 보이지 않았다.
오늘 몇가지 궁금하여 잠시 이 곳에 들렀던 차에
열매는 붉어서 금방 눈에 띄겠지 싶어서 두리번거리는데 붉은 열매가 눈에 들어온다.
우와 찾았다!
봄에는 약간 옆에서 계속 찾아서 못 보았던 모양이다.
좋아라 소리치는 내게 산가막살나무는 강원도에서 흔하게 볼 수 있는데 뭐 별스럽게 그러냐고 꽃동무가 핀잔을 준다.
하이구야~! 그렇게 흔하다는 산가막살나무가 왜 다른 곳에서는 눈에 띄지 않는데여?
이 녀석은 가막살나무 덜꿩나무처럼 줄기나 화서에 성모가 전혀 없고
가막살나무 잎처럼 잎이 넓지만 잎끝이 뾰족하게 길게 빠져 있고 잎자루가 길다.
반짝거리는 붉은 열매가 참 곱다.
가막살나무 열매에는 털이 덮혀 있고,
덜꿩나무와 가막살나무열매의 과경(열매자루)에는 성모와 짧은 털이 있는데 산가막살나무는 과경이 께끗하다.
뾰족한 열매 끝을 크롭해 보니 사과 처럼 꽃받침이 아직 남아 있다.
잎은 가막살나무처럼 넓고 얕은 심장저인데 잎꼬리가 길게 빠져 있는 점이 특징이다.
잎자루가 길고 (가막살나무와 거의 비슷) 봄에는 잎자루와 잎 뒷면 맥 위에 긴털이 드물게 보인다.
어린 가지에는 털이 없고 피목만 있다. 덜꿩나무에는 탁엽이 있는데 가막살나무와 산가막살나무에는 탁엽이 없다.
잎자루에 있던 긴털은 여름이 되면서 사라지고 매끈하다.
