벚나무 중에서도 가장 일찍 피는 올벚나무다.
꽃의 크기가 다른 근연종에 비하여 작고 개화 시 잎도 거의 함께 나오기 시작하는데
꽃색이 희거나 옅은 홍색이라 멀리서 보면 더 밝고 맑은 느낌을 준다
불그레한 꽃받침 통이 항아리처럼 동그랗게 부풀어 올라 있고 꽃자루와 꽃받침에도 털이 밀생한다.
왕벚나무도 살펴보고 촬영해야 하는데 일행이 있으니 맘대로 돌아다닐 수도 없고
내가 살펴봐야 할 것을 보지 못하니 좀 답답하였다.
