조록나무(조록나무과 조록나무속) Distylium racemosum Siebold & Zucc.

남부지역 섬과 제주도에 자라는 녀석이다.
잎이 감탕나무처럼 가장자리가 밋밋하고 두꺼운 혁질이며 잎과 동아에 조롱박 처럼 생긴 충령이 많이 달려서 조록나무라 불렀다. 
아직 개화 직전 상태라 아쉽지만 몇 장 인증 샷을 날려본다. 

 
총상꽃차례로 꽃잎이 없으며 수꽃 양성화 한그루이다
열매가 달리는 양성화 꽃은 꽃차례 끝부분에 있다.

수술은 6-8개이며 꽃밥은 적색이고 암술은 수꽃에서는 퇴화되며 양성화에 1개 있고
자방은 2실이며 겉에 성모가 있고 암술대는 1개로서 2개로 갈라진다.
