북개벚지나무(장미과 벚나무속)?

북개벚지나무라고라?

개벚지나무 산개벚지나무의 자연교잡종으로 추청이 되는 녀석이라 하는디...

화서 기부에 작은 잎 모양의 포엽이 1장씩 붙어 있단다.

 

내가 처음 본 녀석은 기어이 찾아가 봐야 하는 아주 고약한 성질이라 찾아 가 볼 수 밖에 없다. ㅎㅎ

 

정상에 차를 주차해 놓고 북사면 등산로를 따라 천천히 이동하는데

약간 번들거리는 벚나무 수피가 눈에 들어 온다

 

 

고개를 들어 올려다 보니 이미 꽃잎이 다 떨어진 화서가 가지 끝에 흔들리고 있다.

부러진 잔 가지를 주워서 까치발까지 하고 꽃 가지를 걸어 당겨서 포엽을 확인하니...한 개의 포엽이 확인이 된다

오예~!! 그 녀석이구나!!! 북개벚지라는.

 

 

화서 아래 부분에 작은 잎 모양의 포가 달려 있다

 

 

헌데 아직 이창복 대한식물도감과 네이쳐에는 개벚지나무 화서에는 포에 대한 언급이 없고

북개벚지나무에는 포가 하나가 아니라 그냥 포가 있다고만 되어 있고 화서의 크기도 같은 것으로 정리되어 있다.

 

 

도대체 북개벚지나무는 화서에 포가 하나라는 근거가 어디에 있을까?

최근 발행된 한국의나무 책에는 개벚지나무는 오히려 꽃차례 하부에 작은 잎이 없다고 언급이 되어 있고

북개벚지나무에 대한 별도의 언급이 된 내용은 없다.

 

며칠 후 금대봉을 오르는 도로변에서 개벚지나무 화서의 포를 확인하니 없는 게 아니라 0~4개까지 다양하게 달려 있었다.

 

개벚지나무에 여러 장의 포가 있는데도 왜 도감에는 포에 대한 언급이 없을까?

여태 개벚지나무로 알고 있던 포가 있는 이 녀석들은 모두 개벚지나무가 아니라 북개벚지나무란 말인가?

 

이우철 한국식물명고에는 북개벚지나무를 어떻게 언급했을까?

이 책을 구입하려고 검색을 하니 품절이란다. 에혀~!!

 

 또 한 가지 의문점은

이 녀석은 화서도 개벚지나무와 거의 유사하고 이 산에는 개벚지나무도 산개벚지나무도 보이지 않는데...

어떻게 이 녀석을 개벚지나무와 산개벚지나무의 교잡종으로 추정을 한단 말시?

개벚지나무의 변종이나 품종이면 모를까?

그냥 개벚나무이고 말았다.
