산벚나무와 벚나무는 전체에 아무데도 털이 없이 매끈한 녀석이다.
꽃자루, 꽃받침통과 암술대, 잎자루에도 털이 없다.
산벚나무와 벚나무의 차이점은 딱 하나. 꽃차례자루가 있으면 벚나무, 없으면 산벚나무이다
벚나무는 꽃차례자루가 3~27mm 정도로 길고
산벚나무는 꽃차례자루가 없거나 1-2mm의 아주 짧은 자루가 있다.
두 녀석은 자생하는 곳에서도 차이가 있는데
벚나무는 저지대에 잔털벚나무와 함께 살고 산벚나무는 백두대간 높은 산지에 산다.
아래 녀석은 꽃 전체에 털이 없고 꽃차례자루가 안 보이니 산벚나무인 것이다.
생태숲에 벚나무 종류를 심어 놓았는데 원래 사는 곳은 어니지만 산벚나무도 심어 놓은 것이 아닐까?
