왕벚나무 꽃을 보기에는 시기가 좀 늦엇다. 한라산을 넘어가는 성판악휴게소 쪽 도로변에는 아직 벚나무들이 꽃을 피우고 있긴 했다.
마지막 날 생태숲에 들러서 벚나무를 살펴 보니 새깔이 있는 리본을 매어 놓은 벚나무들이 보인다
아마도 같은 종을 표시해 놓은 것 같아서 일단 꽃과 암술을 접사하였다.
어떻게 다른지 몰라서 숲해설가 두 분께 물어 보니 잘 모른다며 담당 연구사의 전번을 알려 준다.
육지에서 내려 온 여왕벌이란 닉을 쓰는 사람이라 소개하고 여차 저차 해서 휴일을 방해하여 전화를 했다고 하니
내 블러그에 더러 들어온다면서 친절하게 답을 해 준다.
리본을 매어 놓긴 했는데 어떤 색이 어떤 품종인지는 현장에 가 봐야 알 수 있다고....
왕벚나무가 어떤 색이냐니까 노란색리본이라 한다.
노란색이 보이지 않았는데?? 하다가 한쪽을 보니 노란색 리본을 묶은 녀석이 있다.
헌데......이미 꽃은 다 졌다. 그래도 꽃자루와 암술대만 관찰하면 되니 낮은 가지를 붙잡고 한참 씨름을 했다.
다행하게도 한 무더기 꽃도 남아 있었다.
산형꽃차례로 꽃차례자루가 거의 없다.
왕벚나무는꽃받침통과 꽃자루에 털이 있고 암술대 기부에 털이 있다.
잎자루에 털이 있고 올벚나무에 비하여 잎이 넓고 둥글다
